Ciara’s ‘Basic Instinct’ Bumped To September Or October 5th !

That Grape Juice & Urban Bridgez has received reliable word that the release of  Ciara’s hotly anticipated ‘Basic Instinct’ LP has been re-scheduled. Initially set  for release on  August 17th, the album – her fourth – will now arrive in stores in September Or October. An official announcement is expected shortly.

Though I’m sure some will snigger, a slight delay is undeniably what this project needs. For, with just 3 weeks before the original date, there have been no promotional appearances, new videos, or anything of that variety. As the music ‘biz has shown over and over again, timing is is everything.

Ciara is in a re-establishing phase, hence for her to truly make an impact again, everything needs to be in place. Yes, ‘Ride’ is a top ten hit on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Chart (with airplay increasing everyday), but the video for follow-up single ‘Gimme That’ will no doubt have to be in circulation before the album drops, as well as Ciara herself doing the promotional rounds. In any case, it looks as if her team are handling the project with the level of attentiveness it needs. Here’s hoping all works out.

    I hope this isn’t true but at the same I happy..I think her team want to make sure that they promote the album correctly & put out 2 single before the album is released.

    I feel mixed.. I wish she woulda waited to tell us the first time when the OFFICIAL date is. I dont like wishy washyNESS cuz it makes me nervous. Though I’m sure this push-back will help out A LOT because she needs waaaaaaaaay more promo and all.     @ jay and bella both of you stop bitching and be patient. Ciara and her label knows what they’re doing. I swear this what happened to Fantasy Ride with you fake fans. As fans we must CONTINUE to support her through thick and thin. It doesn’t make sense to release and album without promotion. It doesn’t work that way.     You guys should have known that things were headed towards a push back when they put out the initial August release date considering there was zero to no promotion being done. Ciara is no where to be found promoting her LP so I think a push back shouldn’t come as an off the wall surprise. I will say that there’s a disconnect because one shouldn’t make declaration without fully knowing it could actually happen. Last Era had so many push backs that it produce a feeling of zero know how. One can only hope that this will be the last push back, but with C and her weak team who truly knows. I mean “ride” is doing well on the r&b charts yet there is no promotion for “ride”.
