We were so impressed that we immediately called the singer’s makeup artist Yolanda Frederick to congratulate her–and by the end of the conversation, she’d agreed to stop by the Essence.com office and give beauty editor Tia Williams her very own Ciara-at-the-Grammy’s makeover. In the weeks before the Grammy’s, Atlanta celebrity makeup artist Yolanda Frederick flew to Paris with Ciara to conceptualize her head-to-toe red carpet look with Givenchy designer, Riccardo Tisci. “He absolutely fell in love with Ciara…she’s his new muse,” said Frederick, who adds that the kerfluffle over Ciara arriving late to the Givenchy couture show was totally manufactured. “Riccardo told her to come late so she could make a proper diva entrance!”

While Tricky spilled details exclusively to Rap-Up.com about the disc last year, Ciara is keeping a tight lid on revealing too much information. Her last album Fantasy Ride suffered from numerous leaks prior to its release and she wants to make sure everything is in place before making an official announcement.

“Her album is a launch that’s got to be kept secret right now,” the super-producer, hot off his Song of the Year Grammy win for Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It),” told Rap-Up.com at his pre-Grammy party last week.

However, he did reiterate that he is executive producing her fourth effort with The-Dream and fans should be excited for what’s in store. “I did the whole album; it’s amazing. If you like Tricky and Dream, you’ll definitely like this.”

Ciara has been making headlines at the Paris Couture shows.

A muse to Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci, the Grammy-award winning singer attended their couture show this week wearing a look that was concurrently shown on the runway.

Equally jealously-inducing? Her always perfect makeup, which, Ciara tells us, is thanks to the talented makeup artist she never leaves home without.

“I love using Yolonda because she understands how to give me that flawless glowing skin without going super heavy with the makeup,” Ciara tells StyleList of her longtime personal makeup artist Yolonda Frederick.
